My ridiculous e-mail system must have bounced Marc's e-mail, but fortunately, Tim got it and just forwarded to me. I'm trying to get my mind around all this, as you must be (by some exponent). You have been shoved onto what must seem like an alien planet with only two weeks to absorb the rules, the philosophy, the way of life. Pam, I am so so sorry about everything -- the double mastectomy the nicking of the lung (shit!!), but especially how your life will be changed until September. What I want to do now is unleash some expletives, but others can read this, right?
Tim and Zoey and LIla and I are sending our love from this coast to yours. I am so glad you are home now with your wonderful family. What occurs to me is that maybe no two parents have better prepared their family with love and caring and competence and self-reliance for such an event as this. I know it is too soon now, but I will call when things settle a little.
